*gasp* An entry actually written by me?? OMG NO WAI! Also, I quite nearly feel like playing again! *glee* I was in a massive group chat with my friends the other day and quite a few of them of them were playing sims and jabbering on about heirs and babies AND I WANTED TO JOIN IN. Just not quite enough to load up the game. xD Enough to crop and edit all these pictures and write an update though! 8D

Hello everyone! Um... sorry about the massive lack of updates lately. I am completely burned out on playing the sims right now. I haven't even VISITED the Pokemons in absolutely AGES, but I have had these pictures sitting around for a while, so I finally buckled down and... convinced someone else to write me an update. >_> I think I might be taking an official hiatus soon, though. The Pokemons will come back when I do, I still love them, its the game itself I'm having problems getting enthused about. ;_; I still have about 50 Pokemon pics sitting around, so there MAY be yet ANOTHER guest update sometime soon...ish, but I may just wait till I feel like writing it myself. Hello! I'm Katu (katu_sims). I will be your friendly neighborhood legacy guest author today! Steffi and I were both fussing about writing our respective legacies, and so eventually she came up with the brilliant idea that we complete our legacy trade (as she had done an update for me before). AND THUS, THIS CAME TO BE.

Hai everyones... I apologize for ginormo wait between updates! ;_; I was on vacation from the 11th to the 19th in Nevada, Arizona and Utah, and for some unfathomable reason my sims didn't WANT to see the Grand Canyon. xD Then of course I actually had to play, screencap, edit the images for, and write the update AFTER I finished my huge vacation post at my personal journal, all of which took much longer than it was supposed to. And THEN my funny was all rusted over from lack of use and it took me ages it to get it running again. *sigh* ANYWAY! I'M BACK! Let the update commence!

Nkayyy... so. My game HATES ME WITH THE FIRE OF A THOUSAND SUNS and corrupted the Pokemons. Again. Mewtwo and Starmie just upped and disappeared, leaving only their spouses on the lot and I was NOT AMUSED. But luckily I HAD just extracted everyone, so I was able to remake them all in a clean hood and pick up pretty near where I left off, AND get up to speed fairly quickly, so there really shouldn't be many inconsistencies with what you've all seen before. And to make everything just a little less depressing, they all act pretty much the same as they did before. Obviously they should, having the same personalities and etc, but SIMS HAVE SOULS, M'KAY. THEY'RE ALL JUST A LITTLE DIFFERENT, EVEN IF THEY HAVE THE SAME PERSONALITY. *is insistent of this fact, and refuses to listen to any and all reason you may present that negates this information* Anywhoodle. Update tiemz.

Sorry for the long-ish delay on getting this next update up! I had yet ANOTHER hard drive crash, and with my brand new computer. >_> I hadn't even had it 30 days yet! I'm thinking it was my 10-year-old power strip not doing its surge protecting duties, and sending 'implode nao plz' messages to my hard drives. Luckily dragancaor supplied me with an AMAZING recovery program and I managed to get everything back, including the Pokemons! Just took a bit to get enough pics for an update seeing as how the sims weren't even installed for about 4 days. I didn't want to risk overwriting the only data I may have had, no matter how buried it was it my system. BUT! Let's do away with this further ado, and get on with the update!

I have been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to start the ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) awesimsauce challenge for some time now (I am one of its founders after all. Enthusiasm kind of comes with the job description) but I have a VERY short attention span and playing two families at once has just never been a good idea for me, so while the Phylles were going it wasn't really an option. BUT after the computer kersplosion of March '09, and the Phylles going to the giant hard drive in the sky, it was the perfect time to get started!
So with that, I am very happy to present to you, The Pokemon Legacy! Yes, you read right dear readers, POKEMON. One of the awesome aspects of the awesomesauce challenge is that it is a take on the rainbow legacy, but with added challenges for each generation. For my color-related naming theme, I chose to name all heirs after a pokemon that is the same color as their generation. For instance, the first generation's color is blue, so my founders are Squirtle and Mudkip. And that brings me to another challenge I decided to set upon myself. Double founders, and double heirs for every generation. This is NOT a part of the traditional awesomesauce challenge, so don't let it scare you off it. xD I just really wanted to try double founders, and it made sense to let them each have a child and make them both heirs, and then let THEM both have a child and make them both heirs, and so on. All heirs will be played in the same house, though I may decide to move out elders so I don't get overcrowded/overwhelmed. Also, this is going to be a pixel_trade legacy, meaning only children produced by relations with sims made by pixel_trade members can be heirs. And umm... that is enough rambling for now!
